Our Mission
The mission of Thales (THAY-LEEZ) Academy is to provide an excellent and affordable education for students in Pre-K to 12th grades through the use of Direct Instruction and a Classical Curriculum that embodies traditional American values.
Thales provides a rigorous academic environment that fosters ethical behavior, critical thinking, virtuous leadership, lifelong learning, and truth seeking with a firm foundation in cognitive, non-cognitive, and technical skills. As a result, Thales Academy students are well prepared to succeed in higher education, career, and life while positively impacting the world around them.
Our Founder
Robert L. Luddy
Thales Academy was established in 2007 in a temporary facility in the back of Bob Luddy-s corporate office. Mr. Luddy, our founder, is also President & Founder of CaptiveAire Systems, the nation's leading manufacturer of commercial kitchen ventilation systems. Mr. Luddy is passionate about quality education and wishes to provide the best possible opportunities for today's students. Through careful management and a dedication to excellence, Mr. Luddy applies the same principles that make CaptiveAire successful to the operation of Thales Academy.
As a result, Thales Academy has grown exponentially in just a few short years, expanding from 30 students in 2007 to over 6,100 students across 13 locations in 3 states today. Daily, Mr. Luddy works to raise Thales Academy's standards to ever higher levels, resulting in an exceptional education at a remarkably affordable rate. We look forward to our continued growth in the coming years.
