Uniforms
Dress Code (K-5)
PANTS/SKIRTS/SKORTS/JUMPERS/POLO-STYLE DRESSES
Color: Khaki or Navy Blue
Style: Dress style pants, shorts, skorts, skirts, jumpers, or polo-style dresses only. No Capri style, corduroy, knit material.
Length: Skorts, shorts, skirts, jumpers, and polo-style dresses all must be no shorter than 2 inches above the knee. No skorts/skirts/jumpers/polo-style dresses below knee length. Pants, shorts, jumpers, polo-style dresses, and skorts should be free of holes.
Belts: Belts may be worn in grades kindergarten through grade five in solid black or brown, but are not required for these grades. Belts cannot be embellished with decorations.
SHIRTS/SWEATERS/SWEATSHIRTS
Inside: Jackets with hoods, sweaters with hoods, or sweatshirts with hoods are not dress code. The following items are acceptable in the building;
- Polo shirts – long sleeve or short sleeve. Turtlenecks are acceptable if they are worn under school appropriate sweaters, sweater vests, or sweatshirts. Turtlenecks may not be worn alone. Colors are solid navy blue, red, or light blue. NO WHITE.
- Pullover sweater, sweatshirt, or cardigan – crewneck or v-neck in solid navy blue, red, or light blue. NO WHITE.
- Fleece pullovers, fleece vests, or fleece jackets are acceptable in solid navy blue, red, or light blue and can be worn in class. NO WHITE.
Undergarments must not be visible when students are in uniform.
Shirts must be properly buttoned and must be tucked in at all times. If it is not long enough to “stay” tucked in, it is not an appropriate shirt. No deep V-necks or plunging neck lines. Undershirts and camisoles should be white and/or match school colors and should be tucked in appropriately.
Outside: There are no restrictions on outerwear worn outside of the school building.
SHOES
Tennis Shoes: No high tops, no blinking or light-up shoes, no charms, no sequins, gems, or bright neon-colored shoes.
Dress Shoes: Brown, Black, or Navy in color. No heels, boots, sandals, clogs, flip flops, crocs, or mules.
Socks: If worn, must be solid color of white, khaki, black or navy blue. Leggings are not permitted. Tights in navy blue, light blue, red, or solid white are acceptable.
SPIRIT WEAR
Students are allowed to wear their school spirit shirt on the last Friday of the track-in period/quarter, on school-related field trips, and on our school Field Day.
ACCESSORIES
- Jewelry/watches/belt buckles should not be excessively large or gaudy and should not contain inappropriate text or symbols
- No facial piercings
- Make-up should not be heavy
- Heavy chains or necklaces, temporary and/or permanent tattoos, face/body glitter, colored, highlighted, tinted and/or dyed hair in unnatural colors, faux hawks, boys with earrings, hats inside buildings, bandanas or other head coverings
- Boys’ hair length should be above the collar, hair should be kept clean cut
OTHER NOTES REGARDING DRESS:
- Shirts are to be tucked in at all times.
- Bike or knit shorts are to be worn under jumpers or skirts.
- No coats, hoodies, jackets, or non-uniform sweaters or sweatshirts may be worn in the classroom. Uniform sweaters or sweatshirts may be worn over uniform shirts or turtlenecks.
School administration has final say on whether or not an item is acceptable in reference to dress code.
Backpacks – Wheeled backpacks are prohibited.
